Welcome to Maroga - an NGO founded with the aim of promoting global peace by creating clean national borders and clear climate maps and models. Our mission starts with understanding and mapping our immediate environment. We believe that the first step in human consciousness towards improvement is to understand and appreciate our planet in the form of a map. We have projected our illuminated view of our planet onto a flat square surface, so that we can show the entire Earth, illuminated and with no hidden parts.
At Maroga we are a group of idealists and do-gooders committed to eradicating hunger and poverty around the world. We are part of Planet Marogea, an international platform for world-improving inventions. Together we work towards a better future for our planet and those who live on it.
If you have any questions about our organization, our mission or how you can support us, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are always open to collaboration and new ideas.
The first step in human consciousness towards improvement is to understand and map its immediate environment. I embarked on this endeavor to eliminate world hunger and solve poverty on earth by beginning to project my enlightened view of our planet onto a flat square plane.
What do I mean by enlightened view?
Imagine that you are an astronaut in space with a view of our planet. You don't see half, but only 25% of the surface due to the curvature of the Earth. The other half is hidden in darkness. My map shows the entire earth 'illuminated'.
Then what is my goal?
Maroga is an NGO consisting of idealists and world improvers. My aim is global peace by creating clean national borders and clear climate maps and models. Maroga is part of Planet Marogea, which aims to become an international platform for world-improving inventions.

I was born in Hoorn in 1964 and attended the Princess Margriet school there. In 1974 we became one of the first boat refugees to Texel. My sister Sandra, my mother Tiny and I had to escape an alcohol-fueled violence.
Texel is seen by the Lonely Planet as one of the 10 most beautiful locations on earth. I celebrated my liberation there. I first lived in Cocksdorp and then in Den Burg and finally ended up in De Koog in the 1980s. I own 3 aerial maps of Texel. One for the municipality, one for the OSG and one for the Sjans.
The map of Texel is 220cm long and 110cm wide and will last at least 300 years.
In 1983 I was called up for military service, in class 83-1. In 1982 it was decided that I had to leave Texel and go to the city of Groningen, without me knowing about it. After all, who would want to leave Texel? In exchange for Texel I got Groningen. In September 1982 I left Texel for the Noorderhaven in the center of the city, where we lived on a ship. From that moment on the winter depressions began.
In 1983 I entered the service and learned my conscience. Groningen also meant a lot of heavy metal music and homesickness for me.
